AETOS has partnered with two primary schools in Singapore to conduct an educational outreach programme as an initiative geared towards giving back to the community.

Several classes from Bedok Green Primary School and St. Joseph’s Institution Junior interacted with the AETOS auxiliary police K-9 team via virtual meetings. The handlers from the K-9 team shared insights and fielded questions about their duties and the challenges they face on a day-to-day basis while working with their Explosives Detection Dogs (EDD). They also spoke about their training process and how they forged the bonds between themselves and their dogs.

Said Inspector (APF) Chua Yue Zhen, Officer-in-Charge of the K9 Unit, “It was great to have the opportunity to take part in this enrichment programme and share our experiences with future generations. I was quite touched when we received handwritten thank-you notes from the kids saying that we had inspired them!”
