Surbana Jurong has signed an MOU with HealthPals Inc, USA to provide technology solutions for the healthcare industry in India.
In South Asia, HealthPals Inc is a US-based leading platform for healthcare precision prevention through artificial intelligence, smart health monitoring, and health management of communities. Specifically, the platform addresses cardiovascular diseases such as heart stroke, heart failure as well as diabetes. The programme originated in Stanford Medical Center, California, and HealthPals works with local government partners to raise healthcare standards in the populace.
Signed on 21 January 2019, the MOU will offer mutual support between the two parties, where Surbana Jurong’s master planning expertise can tap on Healthpals’ healthcare expertise to create a smart platform for illness prevention activities and community outreach projects, leading to collaborations on urban planning projects in the healthcare segment. This initiative aligns with the Ayushman Bharat Scheme and other key initiatives by the Government of India to promote national access to healthcare.
