SJ ranked #23 in ENR Top 225 International Design Firms 2024

Singapore, 29 August 2024 – SJ is ranked 23rd in the 2024 Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 225 International Design Firms, for the third consecutive year. ENR also named SJ #34 in its Top 150 Global Design Firms. The Group is ranked #5 in the Top 10 regional rankings for Australia/ Oceania, rising two notches from 2023, and #10 among the Top 10 firms for Building.

ENR is a trusted independent source of news and analysis for the global built environment industry, providing industry performance benchmarks through annual surveys and rankings of international companies engaged in engineering, architecture and environmental services and other specialties.

In ENR’s accompanying publication for the 2024 Top 225 ranking, SJ’s Group CEO Sean Chiao shared that SJ has been on a mission to develop a future-forward stance on sustainability through urban development. He said, “What traditional approaches to sustainability might miss are opportunities to look at how cities can be a force for good. We see how cities and communities can be designed to actively restore the planet, empower people, and generate prosperity.”

Sean also named AI as a key technology for project management and design optimisation for real-time project monitoring and collaboration. He said, “We’re partnering with leading technology provider, such as Autodesk and Bentley Systems, to access advanced tools and expertise in the AEC market as well as broader solution providers like Microsoft¬ and Amazon Web Services for access to cloud and AI services.”

ENR Top 225 International Design Firms rankings are based on design-related export revenue generated from projects outside a firm’s home country. The Top 150 Global Design Firms list is based on a firm’s total design-related revenue, across all locations.
