Cliff Chuah Khiok Eng

Cliff has more than 27 years of diverse industry experience in the sectors of energy, industrial, infrastructure, architecture, engineering, ICT consulting, high-tech electronics, telecommunications, IT/OT/ICT, and engineering plastics.

He spearheaded the SJ-NTU Corporate Laboratory and is responsible for collaborating with venture capitals, angel investors, startups, accelerators/incubators, technology companies, academia, government, and research agencies to identify, evaluate and test-bed technologies to enable a pipeline of promising, enduring, disruptive and transformational innovations for commercialization. He has established numerous prominent consortia at industrial-sector level and built ecosystem collaborations towards climate change mitigation and adaptation. Being a strong advocate to new energy adoption, Cliff successfully secured multiple high-profile joint grant calls for development of new and alternate energy systems, and Carbon Capture, Utilization & Sequestration (CCUS) system to meet client’s ambitious net zero target. Cliff is also actively involved in the clean energy and decarbonization projects across different industries.

Cliff is an Advisory Board Member to the EcoLabs Centre of Innovation for Energy, and he is involved in multiple innovations under the Economic Development Board Research Incentive Scheme for Companies funding. Cliff currently serves as one of National Research Foundation’s Central Gap Fund Technical Advisors and served as panel judge in multiple national innovation competitions. He holds a BEng (EEE) degree from National University of Singapore and MBA from Nanyang Technological University. He is a qualified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and certified in Project Management Professional (PMP), Business Process Management (BPM) Master, ScrumMaster, ITIL, machine learning and deep learning.
