Alexandra Hospital
Built in 1938, Alexandra Hospital is a 400-bed acute-care hospital that sits on a matured landscape compound.
The main challenges for Alexandra Hospital are the need for hospital operations to be kept 24/7 while extensive renovations were being carried out concurrently. Surbana Jurong also considered user safety (patients, staff and visitors) as a main concern. This is a multi-disciplinary contract involving architecture and engineering. Our cost and contract management teams as well as landscape architects were involved.
