Brisbane Airport

To accommodate future passenger demand, Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) is constructing the New Parallel Runway (NPR) which will be 3.3 km long, 60 m wide, and be located two km west of and parallel to the existing main runway.

SMEC carried out the Aeronautical Assessment and Aeronautical Operations Peer Review  including  aircraft parking positions, aircraft maneuvering, tug operations taxiing operations, apron grading and drainage, aerobridge model ,capability review and future building line and interface considerations.

Additionally, SMEC continued its services to provide specialist airside inspection services in relation to Brisbane Airport’s CASA mandated annual ATI. auditing components, including aerodrome facilities inspection, airfield pavements and drainage inspection, aerodrome operations manual audit, AIP and operational procedure reviews and final aerodrome technical inspection report.
