Hoddle Street Bus Lane Landscape & Urban Design

The proposed Hoddle Street Bus Lane runs along Hoddle Street from the Eastern Freeway to Victoria Parade in Melbourne. Our project scope included a review of existing strategies governing the area and the development of a series of landscape and urban design aspects which could be delivered as part of the project.

A variety of landscape and urban design aspects were proposed and coordinated with the City of Yarra, including:

  • Pavements
  • Softscape treatments
  • Furniture
  • Lighting
  • Artwork

The design outcomes focused on the development of interchange hubs along the length of the route and associated opportunities to express the character of adjacent precincts within the Hoddle Street corridor.

We were engaged by VicRoads to explore the potential landscape and urban design opportunities associated with the proposed Hoddle Street Bus Lane Project.
