The Wisteria and Wisteria Mall, Singapore

The Wisteria is the first Government Land Sale (GLS) private residential development in Singapore to be completed using the hybrid Pre-Fabricated Pre-Finished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) system.

Located in northeastern Singapore, the Wisteria and Wisteria Mall (total site area of 9,759.8sqm), are a mixed development comprising three nine-storey residential blocks of 216 units, built on top of a three-storey retail and car park podium and a single level basement. It is built on one of the first two selected GLS sites to adopt PPVC, which involves the assembly of whole rooms or apartment units complete with internal fixtures that are produced off-site and installed on site in a Lego-like manner.

Surbana Jurong was responsible for the architecture, landscape, land surveying, civil and structural, and mechanical and electrical engineering works within this project.

For our PPVC efforts, the Building & Construction Authority Singapore (BCA) awarded Surbana Jurong the BCA BIM GoldPlus Award 2017 in the project category as the Multi-Disciplinary Consultant for the project.
