50 Sparklers for Surbana Jurong’s fifth anniversary

Did you know that Singapore’s Marina Bay area was made possible by land reclamation efforts which a boosted Singapore land area? Or that the Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme, the namesake project of our member company SMEC, is one of the seven civil engineering wonders of the modern world?

These are just two of the 50 game-changing achievements of the Surbana Jurong Group, which marked its fifth anniversary on 22 June. Since its formation in 2015, the group has grown from strength to strength as a global urban, infrastructure and managed services consulting firm, with over 70 years of track record in successful project delivery. Headquartered in Singapore, we have a global talent pool of 16,500 across Surbana Jurong and our member companies AETOS, B+H, KTP, Prostruct, RBG, SAA, Sino-Sun and SMEC, based in more than 120 offices in over 40 countries. 

They include architects, designers, planners, engineers and other specialists driven by progressive thinking and creative ideas to help shape a better future.

Group CEO Wong Heang Fine thanked colleagues for our hard work and commitment that has brought us thus far. He also shared a collection of 50 sparklers – bite-sized stories that demonstrate our impact on the world, such as how SJ Infrastructure was involved in Singapore’s expansion of its land area by 25 per cent over four decades through land reclamation works.
