Marina South Pier
Surbana Jurong was appointed to design and implement Marina South Pier as the replacement of the historic Clifford Pier in Singapore’s Central Business District.
The critical challenge was to devise a solution that would deal with the exposure of the area to waves and current movements, in order to have a year-round gateway for ferry shipping.
Our comprehensive approach enabled the completion of the project within 19 months, well ahead of the designated timeline. The project won numerous awards such as the SIA Architectural Award (2006), BCA Best Buildable Award (2007), BCA Design & Engineering Safety Excellence Award (2009) and BCA Construction Excellence Award (2009).
