Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport

Responding to the country’s rapidly expanding travel requirements, this state of art facility has 13 direct aircraft boarding gates, 12 remote aircraft boarding positions and built – in flexibility to accommodate the varying ratio of domestic and international travellers. The project received a design award from City of Xiamen and was a finalist in the Canadian Awards for international development .

Completed in 1996, China Aviation Authority (CAAC) regarded this facility as the yardstick by which airports were planned in China being measured. The design achieved most rational site arrangement , simple aircraft movement and passenger flow, ease of expansion and maximum flexibility creating one of the earlier state – of – art facility in China.
