Palmwoods’ new town square, Piccabean Green, has received an Award of Excellence from the Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture (AILA) in the Civic Landscapes category.
SMEC, a member of the Surbana Jurong Group, was engaged by the Sunshine Coast Council in Queensland to deliver a range of services to transform the town square, including landscape, planting design and engineering services to provide a balance between the town’s historical roots and emerging lifestyles. Winning the award is a major achievement for SMEC’s emerging landscape and urban design team in Brisbane.
