HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir Clubhouse opened recently. According to a report in Channel News Asia, the SGD$85 million clubhouse fronting the Bedok Reservoir features a range of facilities including an infinity pool overlooking the reservoir, 10 two-storey villas nestled within nature, as well as a water adventure centre with Singapore’s longest indoor water slides.
Surbana Jurong’s scope of services spans multi-disciplinary Consultancy Services, including Architecture, Civil & Structure, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Sustainability & Environmental Consultancy, Quantity Surveying & Cost Management and Project Management.
The clubhouse for staff members of Singapore’s key civil defence and police force is designed with green features that ensure energy efficiency and water conservation, thus earning it a Green Mark Platinum certification by Singapore’s Building & Construction Authority.
A key challenge of the project is the underground water pipes which divide the site into three zones. The team’s solution was to strategically locate the individual building blocks without compromising on maximising land use and connectivity. Due to the pandemic, construction faced challenges arising from material and labour shortages during construction. To future-proof the various facilities, the project team went through multiple reviews on the utilisation and design of spaces. Read more
