Surbana Jurong Group has been ranked 13th among the world’s top architecture and design firms in World Architecture 100 (WA100) 2023, rising a notch from 14th in the 2022 ranking. Also featured in WA100 2023 is B+H at 65th, moving up from 67th in 2022.
In a memo to all employees, SJ Group Chairman Chaly Mah said that the group’s standing in WA100 2023 reflects our focus on talent and our belief in the Power of One SJ. While leveraging the unique strengths of our individual brands, we tap on our collective scale and resources to offer the most creative services to our clients to bring life to communities.
WA100 is published by Building Design, a leading source of news and insights for the industry. The annual survey ranks the world’s largest architecture practices by the number of fee-earning or registered architects employed.

Globally, SJ Group employs over 1,000 architecture and design professionals. This includes over 670 architects. The WA100 2023 ranking is the latest addition to a suite of accolades that the Group has received. International awards conferred to SAA in 2022 include the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Best Tall Mixed-Use Building Award of Excellence for City Gate, FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence World Silver Award for Northpoint City, and Architecture MasterPrize in the social housing category for Eastlink I & II @ Canberra. B+H also received various international awards including the BEED Education Architecture Award for Canada International School Kunshan in China, and NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association Best Office Development for 402 Dunsmuir in Canada in 2022.
