Surbana Jurong has won prestigious awards handed out by the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA).
At the inaugural IFLA AAPME Awards, three projects picked up Honourable Mentions in the Analysis & Master Planning Category at the 55th IFLA World Congress 2018, held this year in Singapore.
IFLA AAPME Awards 2018 – Resilience by Design is an international award recognising the best in landscape design and planning in the Africa, Asia Pacific and Middle East (AAPME) regions. It is the first cross-regional platform to showcase and promote projects and achievements of leading landscape architects within these regions.
The winning projects, all in China, are: the 700ha theme park at the 12km-long Han Cheng Riverfront in ShaanXi; Integrated Landscape Design, Ecological Water Management in Yixing; and Eco-Landscape Planning of Xixian Airport City in Xi’an.
The common factor in these winning projects is Surbana Jurong’s integrated, resilient and sustainable approach to its master planning of eco landscapes. This aligns with the Group’s belief in developing attractive, liveable and sustainable environments for future generations.
