Surbana Jurong won the design competition for the coastal residential development.

The new town of Punggol in Singapore is a growing showcase of beautiful apartments by the sea, with the local housing authority HDB planning several waterfront districts for the area. The latest sea-facing project – Punggol Point Cove – was won by Surbana Jurong, which will provide full-suite consultancy services including Architecture, Civil and Structural Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Landscape Architecture and Water Management.

The project comprises eight- to 27-storey-high residential blocks, a basement carpark and an environmental deck. Surbana Jurong’s winning design concept capitalises on the seafront location with a series of sky terraces that cascade towards the promenade.

It also infuses integrated smart urban solutions into the infrastructure, such as Smart Enabled
Homes, Smart Irrigation, Integrated Rainwater Harvesting and Smart Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System, which dovetail with Singapore’s Smart Nation efforts. This win further strengthens Surbana Jurong’s position in Singapore as a leading consultancy firm in township and housing development.
