Surbana Jurong’s Aviation team has been appointed to provide the infrastructure consultancy for the expansion of The Clark International Airport New Terminal Building, located in the Pampanga province of the Central Luzon region in the Philippines. This is the first project win in Philippines for the SJ’s Aviation team, and the project scope spans 0.5sqkm .
The new terminal building is part of the authorities’ efforts to decongest the Manila City by transforming Clark into a major aviation hub and into an aerotropolis eventually.
Surbana Jurong’s Aviation team was entrusted to conduct the peer review and detailed design services for two new ramps and one taxi ways. The ramps include taxi lanes and the design of aircraft parking spaces. The team has completed the scope of work in August 2020, which will boost part of the design magnitude to manage eight million passengers annually, twice the current capacity of the airport.
With this new project win, Surbana Jurong Aviation has further strengthened its foothold to provide specialist expertise in managing the entire value chain of airport capabilities in Southeast Asia.
Said Mr David Theuma, Principal Project Manager, Surbana Jurong Aviation: “We are honoured to be approached by the client to contribute our Aviation expertise for the development of this project. We are certain that our Surbana Jurong Group’s Aviation track record will lead to more projects globally.” More details on our Aviation team here
