SJ Vietnam was appointed by DHA Corp to deliver the full architectural design for D-Homme, a high-end residential and commercial project in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).
The project is located in District 6 of the Cho Lon area, the heart of the city. The Cho Lon is Vietnam’s largest Chinatown where the first Chinese settlement was developed during the 17th century.
The design of D-Homme was inspired by the Chinese character “人” or “Nhan”, meaning being people-centered, as part of the Cho Lon tradition. The SJ Vietnam team has adopted this as the main design principle behind the proposed three 30-storey apartment blocks comprising 445 units, in a well-ventilated three-prong design. As it is people-oriented, the design will also include recreational amenities. When completed, D-Homme’s unique architectural design is expected to become an iconic landmark in the Cho Lon area.
D-Homme’s strategic location reflects HCMC’s emphasis on developing the Cho Lon area as one of the high-end residential districts in the bustling city. The project is slated to complete in 2023.
“This win is a strong testament of SJ’s architectural capabilities in luxury apartments,” said Mr Ken Chan, General Manager of SJ Vietnam. “We are excited to create an iconic architectural landmark in District 6 that represents the rich culture of Cho Lon’s tradition.”
