Surbana Jurong’s Smart City Solutions team with other volunteers at the charity event held in the Kebun Baru district in Singapore.
In the spirit of giving ahead of the Lunar New Year celebrations in February, 25 employees from Surbana Jurong’s Smart City Solutions team packed and distributed food packs to over 400 low-income households in Singapore. The volunteers also spread the green message along the way, informing residents on the use of energy-efficient devices and a programme which provides vouchers to purchase LED bulbs.
The event was organised by Singapore’s North West Community Development Council (CDC) was held together with community and corporate partners. In 2016, the project benefitted families in 5,600 rental units.
